Girls’ Area Damaged ALONG With Several Cabins
We are looking forward to Camp Hunt’s 78th season. Your contributions last year allowed us to have a successful camping season and allowed us to install new lights in Victory Center, rebuild the front of the boys’ cabins, and replace broken hot water heaters.
Most of you are aware of the August storm that brought down many trees in the girls’ area and damaged several cabins. We reached out to the Camp Hunt family with an end-of-the-year fund-raising effort for the repair of the girl’s area. One donor gave a $15,000 matching pledge and our supporters were able to reach that match. We are thankful for the generous response to that request.
At the time we made that request, we didn’t have detailed estimates for the repair and reconfiguration of the girls’ area that we now have. Based on those estimates and the other planned repairs and program expenses, our goal for the Spring Collection this year is $30,000.
We hope that those who appreciate and believe in the ministry of Camp Hunt will be able to donate to the Spring collection. Your donation can be given in our partnering congregations or by sending a donation directly to Camp Hunt, either electronically or by mail. When writing checks for the Spring Collection, please make them out to Camp Hunt, Inc. and note “Spring Collection” in the memo area.
With hope and gratitude,
David Owens, President
