DRESS CODE
Camp Hunt Dress Code At Camp Hunt, our goal is to foster an environment focused on faith, growth, service, and community. Clothing should support these goals by being modest, practical, and appropriate for camp activities. Modesty is not about policing appearance but about avoiding unnecessary attention, minimizing distractions, and ensuring everyone can participate comfortably and respectfully. These expectations apply equally to campers and staff.
All campers and staff are expected to follow the standards below. Designated staff will monitor and guide compliance. Anyone out of dress code may be asked to change.
Please review the guidelines below:
General Standards
Undergarments
Appropriate undergarments must be worn.
Undergarments should never be visible.
Messages & Graphics
Clothing must not display inappropriate, offensive, controversial, political, vulgar, sexually suggestive, or substance-related messages.
No messaging of any kind is allowed across the seat of pants or shorts.
Fit & Style
Clothing should not be skin-tight, excessively baggy, or otherwise revealing.
Pants, shirts, shorts, and other garments should be modest in fit and not draw inappropriate attention.
Revealing cuts or slits that expose the midriff, back, chest, underarm, flank, or upper thigh are not permitted.
Midriffs must not show when standing, sitting, or bending. Tops should be long enough to tuck in.
Shirts & Tops
Shirts must have sleeves.
No sleeveless shirts with straps under 3 inches or wide/low arm holes.
No tank tops, halter tops, camisoles, strapless tops, or low-cut necklines.
Shirts must not be excessively tight.
Shorts, Pants, Skirts & Dresses
Shorts
Must be mid-thigh length or longer, measured from the shortest part of the shorts.
Should not be tight or revealing.
A good guideline: shorts should cover at least as much thigh as they reveal.
Pants
Should neither be too tight nor excessively baggy.
Skirts & Dresses
Must reach top of the knee or longer.
Not appropriate during athletic activities.
Leggings/Tights
Leggings are not considered pants.
If worn, they must be covered by a tunic, skirt, or dress that is no shorter than just above the knee.
Swimwear
Swimsuits must be conservative and modest.
When walking to and from the pool, swimsuits must be fully covered:
Boys: shirt over swim trunks.
Girls: shirt and shorts or a cover-up no shorter than just above the knee.
Shirts and shorts may also be required during water activities.
Proper footwear must be worn at all times.
Bare feet are not permitted anywhere outside the cabin.
Athletic shoes and socks are required for daily activities, games, and sports.
Open-toed shoes may be worn only when going directly to and from the pool, Sunday worship, or special events (e.g., Friday banquet).
Bringing old sneakers or water shoes for wet/muddy activities is strongly recommended.
Shoes
Pack comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing suitable for outdoor play, getting dirty, and active camp life.
Remember that the purpose of our dress code is to support our shared walk of faith and create an environment of respect and focus.
