Investing in the Camper Program BY upgrading equipment for activities

Our plans for the 2019 camping season are coming together well! And as always, Camp Hunt needs your prayers, participation and financial support.

Camp Hunt is able to minister the way it does because of generous support from members of churches of Christ. The registration fees for the summer camp and for the retreats we hold do not come close to covering the operational expenses of camp, and they certainly don’t cover the cost of construction projects. Therefore, in the Spring of each year, we make a special fundraising appeal to help pay for the projects and operational expenses designated by Camp Hunt’s Board of Directors for that year. We ask the Christians who believe in and benefit from Camp Hunt’s ministry to make a contribution.

If you have made contributions in the past, thank you for your support! Contributions toward our Spring Collections and fundraising efforts last year helped to complete the new white cabin bathhouse which was completed and was in operation for last year’s season. Also, last year’s contributions put new metal roofs on all eight buildings in the boy’s cabin village. The new roofs not only look great, but are keeping the buildings nice and dry!

This year we plan to invest in the camper program by adding activities, upgrading and replacing a lot of the equipment used for camper activities. This will include things like balls, nets, floor hockey sticks, archery equipment, just to mention a few of the needed items. We really want the campers to enjoy all the activities that camp offers. As always, any monies given that exceed the project needs will be used for other operational expenses, such as insurance and repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment.

Our goal for the Spring Collection this year is $12,000. We hope that you will be in a position to make a donation to the Spring collections in our partnering congregations or by sending a donation directly to Camp Hunt for this purpose.

We trust that God is able to supply what is needed through His people. Please prayerfully consider Camp Hunt’s plans and ministry and contribute as you are able. When writing checks for the Spring Collection, please make them out to Camp Hunt, Inc. and make note in the memo area that it is for the “Spring Collection.”
