Donate to Renovate Olbricht/Gray Hall

The most urgent need at Camp Hunt is the renovation of Olbricht/Gray Hall, the dining hall and multi-purpose classroom building which is the central hub of the campground.  This building was erected completely by volunteer labor over an eight year period in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s.  The aging roof has been leaking into the restrooms, and the flooring, both in the kitchen and eating areas is in need of replacement.

The renovation will include: a new roof, demolition and reconstruction of interior walls and ceilings in restrooms, commercial grade vinyl floor in kitchen, restrooms and dining hall, foundation repair and, if adequate funds become available, new exterior doors and vinyl siding.

In November we initiated a major fundraising campaign headed by Dr. Jeanine Peck of Searcy, Arkansas.  To date around $44,000.00 has been donated by supporters from throughout the United States.

The goal for our special collections in participating congregations here in N.Y.S. is $15,000.00.  If we are blessed and our fundraising efforts exceed the actual costs for the renovation of OG Hall, then the additional monies will be applied to Camp Hunt’s other operational and maintenance expenses, or future construction projects.
